AI Hallucination Inevitable, Says Sundar Pichai Amidst User’s Backlash On AI Overview Feature

Google’s AI overview has been slammed over the last week by users for giving bizarre suggestions. Google has been the first to partner with Reddit for acquiring human responses for training their Gemini and now with the AI Overview feature activated those responses are coming to light for users. From asking users to stick cheese on pizza with glue to suggesting someone who’s depressed to jump off the bridge, some of the bizarre suggestions by Google has been slammed by users for being irrational and impractical marring the feature with flaws. OpenAI Partners With News Corp After Reddit’s $60M Deal

Following on its march of partnerships after Stack Overflow, OpenAI last week inked a deal with Reddit along the same lines of Reddit’s deal with Google where reddit would allow OpenAI to use its human generated responses as training dataset for the LLM in a landmark deal of $60M. But the one partnership which is doing the rounds interestingly is OpenAI’s newest partners in the form of media giant News Corp. Its seems like OpenAI is set to fix the holes in all of the aspects where it has been called out for be it copyright infringement of accessing articles from other news houses or by people wanting compensation for their created content being used as training dataset for the AI. Elon Musk Expects AI Will Replace All Human Jobs

Upon being asked whether he was worried about losing his job to AI, Elon Musk responded cheekily saying AI will eventually eliminate the need for humans to work as technology continues to advance rapidly. Musk believes in a benign scenario none of the humans will have to work and there will be universal high income with no shortage of goods and services. Citing an 80% chance that AI advances will result in a scenario where humans will not need a job and will have all that they need, Musk seems to have made peace with the advancements of the technology and where we should be focused in the near future. Nutanix Accelerating Adoption Of Generative AI Among Enterprises

Nutanix recently announced GPT-in-a-Box 2.0, which will deliver expanded Nvidia accelerated computing and LLM support, along with simplified foundational model management and integrations with Nvidia NIMs microservices and the Hugging Face LLM library. Apple Bringing Generative AI To Emojis

Apple is being rumored to give Siri a Generative AI upgrade where users will be able to create custom emojis using GenAI. While Siri is set to get a Generative AI makeover, with the help of Apple's own large language models, its virtual assistant will should sound more natural, and the Apple Watch will get a more advanced version of Siri to assist with tasks on the go. Apple hopes the technology will also help Siri improve upon the tasks it already does, like responding to questions, and take on new tasks like summarizing text messages.
