These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2023

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

TikTok’s new Magical AI Genie🧞

With the AI race heating up, TikTok looks like it’s preparing to launch its own AI chatbot to Western users, based on a recent filing in the U.S. TikTok has sought to trademark the name “Genie” for its coming AI chatbot tool.

What is Genie? According to Semafor, Genie will enable users to pose questions in-stream and get immediate responses, among other functions. The viral video app filed to trademark the name “Genie” for an AI chatbot software that will simulate conversations, facilitate interaction and communication between humans and AI, and produce human-like speech and text.

AI Evolution for TikTok: TikTok’s been developing its AI chatbot for some time, with users in the Philippines getting access to its “Tako” chatbot tool in May last year. Tako is designed to guide users to other videos in the app, not to answer more complex queries. Genie, however, would be a more robust offering, integrating all of TikTok’s various AI elements into one stream.

Genie promises a better search function: Genie would include TikTok’s generative AI search function, now available in Douyin, the Chinese version of the app. This feature enables users to maximize discovery both inside and outside the app by inputting relevant questions or information to obtain answers generated by intelligent search technology.

Hollywood Legends Reborn on ElevenLabs 🧑‍🎤

The voices of legendary stars Judy Garland, James Dean, Burt Reynolds, and Sir Laurence Olivier are now part of the library of voices on ElevenLabs’ Reader App.

"It's exciting to see our mother's voice available to the countless millions of people who love her. Through the spectacular new technology offered by ElevenLabs, our family believes that this will bring new fans to Mama, and be exciting to those who already cherish the unparalleled legacy that Mama gave and continues to give to the world," said Liza Minnelli, daughter of Judy Garland and representative of the Garland Estate.

Last week EleveLabs launched Reader App that lets users listen to any digital text on-the-go, powered by our AI voices. The app takes articles, PDFs, ePubs, newsletters, e-books, or any other text on the user's phone and turns it into an emotionally rich, context-aware voiceover. These iconic voices are exclusively available through the app for individual streaming and are not part of our broader Voice Library for creating content to share.

ElevenLabs is on a mission to make content accessible in any language and voice. They are looking forward to bringing more great talent to the platform soon.

Block AI Bots with a Single Click on Cloudflare 👊

Cloudflare launches an easy tool to block all AI bots, protecting content creators from unauthorized scraping and misuse. In a world where content is in high demand for training AI models, the lack of transparency surrounding AI companies' web scraping bots has become a concerning issue. Cloudflare's new feature allows website operators to easily block all AI bots, safeguarding their content from unauthorized scraping and potential misuse.

The Threat of AI Bots: The popularity of generative AI has skyrocketed the demand for content used to train models or run inference. Not all AI companies are transparent about their web scraping bots. Google reportedly paid $60 million a year to license Reddit’s user-generated content, and Scarlett Johansson alleged OpenAI used her voice without consent. The value of original content in bulk has never been higher.

Solution: Last year, Cloudflare announced the ability for customers to easily block AI bots that behave well. Even though these AI bots follow the rules, Cloudflare customers overwhelmingly opt to block them. We hear clearly that customers don’t want AI bots visiting their websites, especially those that do so dishonestly.

New One-Click Feature: To help, we’ve added a brand new one-click to block all AI bots. It’s available for all customers, including those on the free tier.

Cloudflare's one-click AI bot blocking feature revolutionizes content protection in the face of the growing threat of AI bots. With transparency and ease of use, website operators can preserve the integrity of their content, enabling them to focus on their core objectives without the worry of unauthorized scraping and misuse. By empowering content creators, Cloudflare demonstrates its ongoing dedication to improving bot detection and safeguarding the digital assets of their customers.

Figma’s Generative Magic is disabled 🪄

Figma CEO Dylan Field announces the temporary disabling of the “Make Design” AI feature after accusations of it replicating Apple’s Weather app designs. The issue was first identified by Andy Allen, founder of NotBoring Software.

Accusation: Allen took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse Figma of heavily training its tool on existing apps. Field denies these accusations, stating that the Make Design feature was not trained on Figma content, community files, or app designs.

Make Design Feature: It generates UI layouts and components from text prompts, helping developers quickly explore different design directions. Introduced at Figma’s Config conference, the feature aimed to speed up the design process.

Figma aims to ensure the Make Design feature can stand behind its output before re-enabling it. Stay tuned for updates as Figma works to resolve these issues and improve the feature’s reliability.

China has 6x More AI Patents than the US 💯

China is far ahead of other countries in generative AI inventions such as chatbots, filing six times more patents than its closest rival, the US, according to UN data released on Wednesday. Generative AI, which produces text, images, computer code, and music from existing information, is exploding. More than 50,000 patent applications have been filed in the past decade, with a quarter of them filed in 2023, according to the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

China's Dominance: More than 38,000 GenAI inventions were filed by China between 2014-2023, compared to 6,276 filed by the US over the same period. Christopher Harrison, WIPO patent analytics manager, noted that this is a booming area growing at increasing speed.

Chinese patent applications cover a broad range of sectors, from autonomous driving to publishing to document management. South Korea, Japan, and India were ranked third, fourth, and fifth respectively, with India growing at the fastest rate.

Top Applicants: Among the top applicants were China's ByteDance, which owns video app TikTok, Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, and Microsoft, a backer of start-up OpenAI which created ChatGPT. WIPO expects a further wave of patents to be filed soon and plans to release a future update of the data, possibly using GenAI to illustrate the trend. This suggests a profound impact across many different industrial sectors.
