MIT Study Reveals An AI Model Which Can Predict Future Human Actions

There’s a new AI model in town called Latent Inference Budget Model (L-IBM), which a team of researchers at MIT and University of Washington believe the model can predict accurately about future human actions by examining past behaviors, actions and limitations linked to the thinking process of an agent (which could be either a human or another AI). The study authors claim that L-IBM is better than other previously proposed frameworks capable of modeling human decision-making. “At the end of the day, we saw that the depth of the planning, or how long someone thinks about the problem, is a really good proxy of how humans behave,” said Athul Paul Jacob, one of the study authors and a Ph.D. Keep Reading

Coca‑Cola pours $1.1B into generative AI experiment with Microsoft

Coca‑Cola committed $1.1 billion to the Microsoft Cloud for its generative AI and cloud capabilities. According to the announcement made on April 23, the duo will jointly experiment with Azure OpenAI Service and other technologies “to develop innovative generative AI use cases across various business functions.”
In addition, the companies will experiment with the Microsoft Copilot Microsoft 365 AI assistant to test its efficacy in improving workplace productivity. Using Azure OpenAI Service, Coca-Cola is currently exploring the use of generative AI-powered digital assistants to improve performance metrics related to customer experiences, streamline operations, and improve efficiency, among other things. Sundar Pichai admits the generative AI boom took Google by surprise

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google admits the company was indeed taken by surprise due to the sudden Generative AI boom. While speaking at an event at Stanford University earlier this month, the tech boss revealed the company was quite surprised by the sudden public interest in AI. Pichai admits recognizing the tech’s significance years ago but ideally Google had a different trajectory in mind when it comes to society’s adoption of AI.
