Hey Creators!!

Welcome back to this exciting week for Generative AI as we have confirmation that OpenAI is indeed going to power up iOS 18’s Generative AI features while OpenAI’s CTO is of the opinion that Generative AI’s economic impact is just starting. Codestral is here from Mistral AI which is being seen as the ultimate DevinAI substitute but is that one of the GenAI Blind spots which Leaders have these days? It seems like perfecting human portraits with SDXL 3 is quite easier than one thought. But all of these updates aside, how would Generative AI in Media and Entertainment market hit $4 Bn by 2028?

OpenAI Confirmed To Power Generative AI Features On iOS 18

While speculations are rife for WWDC 2024 event next month, Apple seems to have decided to go with OpenAI for powering their GenAI features in iOS18. Apple is still working on hashing out a deal with Google in order to provide Gemini as an alternative. Notably, Apple's massive user base will make it one of the biggest players in AI when the new features are rolled out with iOS 18. Apple is likely to introduce a number of AI features at the WWDC event in June including a feature for transcribing memos, retouch photos, making search faster and upgrades to Siri. Apart from iOS 18, Apple is likely to bring AI features to macOS and iPadOS, all of whom will have a software for determining whether a particular task should be run on the device or via the cloud. Mistral Releases Codestral, Its 1st Generative AI Model For Ccode

Mistral AI is leaving no stone unturned to cement its foothold in the Generative AI race and it seems launching its first model for coding is indeed a step in that particular direction with Codestral. Like other code-generating models, Codestral is designed to help developers write and interact with code. It was trained on over 80 programming languages, including Python, Java, C++ and JavaScript, explains Mistral in a blog post. Codestral can complete coding functions, write tests and “fill in” partial code, as well as answer questions about a codebase in English. Mistral describes the model as “open,” but that’s up for debate. The startup’s license prohibits the use of Codestral and its outputs for any commercial activities. There’s a carve-out for “development,” but even that has caveats: The license goes on to explicitly ban “any internal usage by employees in the context of the company’s business activities.” Know More

The Generative AI Blind Spots For Leaders

While its a welcoming sign that Industry Leaders across different sectors are quite welcoming of Generative AI initiatives in the workspace, there is still quite a lot to hash out for it to be perfect. Given the rapid pace at which generative AI continues to advance, it’s natural to worry about the completeness of your implementation plans. So how is it with other leaders and what are they doing about it? MIT Sloan Management Review recently interviewed AI experts and IT Practitioners recently at a symposium posing the same question.

Generative AI In Media & Entertainment Market To Hit US$4 Bn By 2028

As companies and organizations introduce cutting-edge tools and solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the media and entertainment industry is in for a wild ride. Generative AI is revolutionizing the way we create, distribute, and monetize content in the media and entertainment industry. Gen AI-powered chatbots and Gen AI-powered virtual assistants are changing the way customers interact with media and entertainment brands. AI-powered chatbots are able to understand and process natural language, enabling them to engage with users in a human-like manner. This improvement in interaction allows for more efficient resolution of customer queries, personalized recommendations and 24/7 support. Ethical considerations surrounding Generative AI in media and entertainment are paramount due to the potential for misuse, including the creation of deepfakes, copyright infringement, and the spread of misinformation. Addressing these concerns requires robust mechanisms to ensure content authenticity, mitigate bias, and enhance transparency in AI-generated content. Know More

OpenAI CTO Mira Murati Says Generative AI’s Economic Impact Only Starting

Generative AI is only starting to show its potential for economic impact as per the CTO of OpenAI Mira Murati. As seen from the launch of their latest 4o model, Murati is of the opinion that people are increasingly using AI tools for tasks such as coding, writing and administrative work. While the exact impact on businesses and work is yet to be assessed correctly, so far AI systems have entered workforce as collaborators despite AI development being quite competitive in the current times which is also being looked at positively as it keeps them on their toes towards cutting corners and ensuring a better product at the end of the day.
