OpenAI, Google, Mistral Launch Latest Models Barely 12 Hours Apart

The race for ultimate supremacy with Generative AI models is heating up like anything. While Meta announced its plans to launch the latest model of Llama, Google decided to launch Gemini Pro 1.5 in a matter of hours within Meta’s announcement. Elon Musk : AI Will Outsmart Humans By 2025

Speaking during a live interview streamed on social media platform X(formerly Twitter), Musk confirmed his views about expecting AI to outsmart humans by the end of 2025. Swearing by the technological developments he has seen so far, Elon described computers dedicated to AI increasing in capability by “a facctor of 10 every year if not every 6-9 months”. WPP Partners With Google Cloud To Power Up Generative AI-Driven Marketing

Advertising giant WPP is leading the way for all other agencies to allow marketers to use GenAI and do things which were only a dream earlier. Announcing their partnership with Google in Cloud Next’ 24 conference, WPP is set to integrate Gemini models into WPP Open- the agency’s AI-powered marketing operating system. Currently being used by 35,000 people and adopted by The Coca-Cola Company, L’Oréal and Nestlé, WPP Open will combine Google’s expertise in data analytics, generative-AI and cyber security to boost the end-to-end marketing capabilities and global creative scale. Getty Images CEO Calls For Industry Standards Around AI

After suing Stability AI earlier this year for unauthorized use of copyrighted materials from its platform, Getty Images’ CEO is in news now for being conscious of the speed and nature of AI’s development. Trinity College Researchers To Use AI For Bringing Forgotten Women Of History Into Spotlight

Researchers at Trinity College, Dublin have taken it upon themselves to use AI and other digital technologies to uncover women’s experiences in Ireland from 1500 to 1700. With an objective of using AI for filling the empty history book sections around women’s progress in the time period, researchers are also aiming at recovering marginalised voices and overlooked narratives using AI. Granted with a fund of €2.5m (£2.1m) from European Research Council grant, researchers will document the roles women played during social and political upheavals that included massacres, sexual violence and extreme trauma.
